Q. What sort of people indulge in a chauffeured motorhome tour ?
A. Some want to see remote places without sleeping in tents amongst the spiders and scorpions. Some need premier accommodation and transport to unique and remote locations. They want a proper bed, a proper shower, a proper toilet and quality food of their choice. They want to be comfortable when they sleep and when they travel. They want to decide when to stop and what to see. They want personal service and a timetable that fits them. They could be seniors, executives, VIP's, people with mobility issues, if fact anyone who needs specialised travel and accommodation.
Q. We have someone with special needs/mobility problems, can you cater for them ?
A. The motorhome is fully self contained with flat floors all the way through and very comfortable seating. As long as the guest can climb up the four steps through the main door they should be able to enjoy a tour with us. There is room for mobility assistance walkers, and mobility scooters can be catered for. At this time we do not have a vehicle able at accommodate wheelchairs. Julie and Graham are not qualified carers.
Q. What if we wanted to hire for just a short time ?
A. Just want to take someone special out for an hour, a day or overnight?. What about the ultimate wedding car including champagne and hors d'oeuvres. Need VIP, executive or celebrity accommodation for an event, meeting or overnight in a remote location. Call us for a quote. For day only hire there is seating for 7.
Q. What's included on the tour ?
A. The daily charge includes the motorhome, our undivided attention as chauffeur, and host(s), all quality linen and bedding. On all tours breakfast is included. On fully hosted tours everything is included except 3rd party tours.
Q. How much luggage can I bring ?
A. There is really no limit. When you plan your tour remember there is no formal wear needed unless you have special plans. All you clothes and personal belongings can be unpacked and stored in your in your own personal wardrobes and drawers.
Q. What about rough roads or local sightseeing at destinations ?
A. The motorhome is not suitable for rough dirt roads and some local sightseeing. In these cases local companies and guides can be employed.
A. When you plan your tour it can be straight from the trips offered, you can personalise any tour, or plan your own totally individual adventure. Variations can be made any time on the tour.
Q. Will we be staying in caravan parks ?
A. Again, personal choice. Some people like the feel of security of a park,
others prefer the option of free open space camping. As long as you tell us we will plan accordingly. On occasions we will have to
camp in a park because of a locality, to empty holding tanks, wash sheets, or if free camping
is not an option.
Q. What is the maximum amount of guests that can be included ?
A. The motorhome has
overnight guest accommodation for 4. The normal configuration is a double
and 2 singles but the dinette and/or settee can be converted so two
couples or 4 singles can be catered for.
Q. How are our hosts catered for ?
A. This is a hosted tour so
Graham & Julie will be with you most of the time. Generally, of a
night they will use the day/night settee in the lounge or find alternative sleeping arrangements away from the motorhome if you prefer.
Q. Are these tours suitable for children ?
A. Generally no, but please speak to us and let's discuss your circumstances.
Q. What about the meals ?
A. All food is cooked on
board to suit your diet on fully hosted tours. On B&B tours breakfast is provided but other meals are the responsibility of the guests. Guest can dine out or use the facilities to prepare their own meals.
Q. What about alcohol ?
A. Alcoholic beverages are the responsibility of the guest.
