We pick you in the Coachmen. Hopefully your friends will be there to see you off on your big adventure. Maybe we'll pick you up at an Airport.
The first job is to get rid of your luggage. Pop your clothes into the wardrobes and drawers of your private en-suite cabin then your bags will disappear into the basement of the Motorhome until we drop you off at the end of your journey.
A tea or coffee with home made biscuits , a quick tour of your surrounds and the systems and we're off. If you grab the front passenger seat you will have an all round high up view that's normally the domain of large truck drivers. You're King of the Road.
Perhaps the dinette is more your style, with a great view of the passing parade from a high vantage point and room to write in your journal as we venture forth. All passenger seats are fully equipped with seat belts.
Out on the open road lunch time arrives. Fresh made sandwiches, wraps, maybe a salad, it's your choice. Perhaps a takeaway meal is your preference, we'll find you the outlet you desire, although the drive-through might be out of the question..
As the afternoon progresses you see photo opportunities, ask the driver to stop, you're the boss. A nature call, all facilities are on board but we really need to stop for stability and legal sake. A souvenir shop takes your fancy, a roadside monument, a flock of interesting birds, it's up to you when and where we stop.
You have already chosen our overnight camp. It could be an upmarket tourist park, a cosy nook in a national park, a headland overlooking the sea. Every night can and will be different. Happy hour whilst your evening meal is prepared. It maybe in the reclining captains chairs, at the dinette whilst you check your emails and contact some friends, it could be outside around a glowing campfire.
After tea sitting around the campfire swapping yarns with other travelers camped nearby may be in order , catch a movie on the wide screen TV in the lounge, play a game of bridge or monopoly. You sleep well.
Day 2.
No alarms, no-one knocking on your door telling you the bus is leaving in 30 minutes. Tea and toast in bed when you're ready if you would like. Hot shower. Breakfast of your choice with freshly made juice; maybe healthy granola or pancakes, boiled eggs, a big English styled breakfast (without the black pudding). There's no rush to get on the road. No bags need to be packed. When you're ready we're off.
Do you want a morning tea stop. Perhaps fresh cooked scones on board; maybe there's a small exclusive cafe you would like to stop at. There's been some great roadside views, you've stopped to capture some great pictures. And a wander around that ancient cemetery was very interesting.
Lunch is a picnic in a lovely park with chicken drumsticks and salad. You feed the ducks. Let's continue. This afternoon we're detouring to see Auntie Jan and Uncle Don, they're not far off our route. The 15 minute stop becomes 2 hours as Uncle Don insists on giving you some old photographs. Auntie Jan suggests a great camping site 20k's down the road right next to the river.
We stop, get the campfire going and a couple of hours later have a real bush meal of beef stew and damper cooked in camp ovens amongst the coals. The night is turning very cold. You hop into bed. The heater has taken the chill off inside. You sleep well.

Sit down to dinner and through the windows you are surrounded by iconic Australian landscapes that people travel from around the world to see.
